About KCNSC

Every day, over 7,000 employees come to work at the Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) in support of national security. Honeywell FM&T manages the KCNSC in Kansas City, MO and Albuquerque, NM, for the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).

As a trusted partner of the NNSA since 1949, the Kansas City National Security Campus has earned a valued reputation for innovation and cost-effective solutions by applying commercial best standards in managing operations. The KCNSC is a LEED Gold, multi-mission facility using the latest technologies and innovations in engineering, manufacturing and sourcing to fulfill our core mission: ensure the safety, security and reliability of our nation’s nuclear deterrent.

KCNSC is one of eight sites that comprise the NNSA. Our primary focus is manufacturing 80 percent of non-nuclear components that go into the nuclear stockpile. We develop advanced solutions for complex national security issues, from prototype simulations to production to quality testing. Along with safeguarding the country’s nuclear weapons, the KCNSC team is charged with leading other missions for the Department of Energy: Nuclear Weapons Program, Global Security, Secure Transport, Emergency Response and Supply Chain Management Center.
